    “Good morning, and thanks again for your generous support of our first Tequila Blues Festival Concert last January.
    We got great feedback from many folks and they wanted us to move forward and build a bigger Festival. And we have. We also continue with our community focus to support the Talita Cumi orphanage near Zihuatanejo and other children’s and animal rescue projects.  Our sponsors and leadership group has remained the same and they are more committed than ever. We sincerely thank Big Boy Tequila, Inn at Manzanillo Bay, Villas Paraiso and Frank’s Restaurant/Ixtapa Event Centre.
    Today we wanted to alert folks like you who supported us last year that you can get the best possible pricing on guaranteed front row seating all Festival by picking up some Festival passes now.  Buy some passes for friends too perhaps. Prices go up on June 21
    We’ve announced Tequila Blues Explosion Fest International II for January 10-13, 2019 with many great performers. See below for the list. And more to be announced.

    The fabulous Blues Brothers show on January 10 by Geoff and Chris Dahl, who are considered one of the top two or three Blues Brothers Tribute acts in the world, and are fabulous musicians in their own right, helps kick off the Festival on Thursday, plus we preview our Festival performers that night.
    Full concerts Friday and Saturday nights with different material and lineups each night. Then we finish off the Festival with the amazing Blues Kruise 4 Kids on Sunday, January 13 on Picante Catamaran’s Sunset Cruise.  Festival Performers will provide the music and fun. If you’ve never been on the Picante Catamaran, check out the many great reviews.  “The best part of our vacation” many people say.

    Ixtapa-Zihuatanejo Blues and Blues-Rock Festival Details Coming Soon

    We’re currently preparing our final plans leading up to a go or no go decision, hopefully by October 1, 2017.  A lot of work to do on determining our performers and our final budget.  It is a fund raising effort by the community for the community and so we want to be certain that we can make the event work.

    Therefore it most likely we will be crowdfunding the event and seeking sponsor ships well in advance so that we can ensure we can deliver it successfully.

    We will be building our email contact list here shortly, but in the meantime and in addition enjoy the Blues and Blues-Rock over at our MX Blues Appreciation Society Facebook pagee and like us if you want to keep hearing all the news as progress.

    I hope you are looking forward to the first annual Shawshank Redemption Blues, Brews, BBQ Festival in Ixtapa & Zihuatanejo, likely in the first quarter of 2018, as much as we are.
