We Want To Do More, We Know We Can Do More. With Your Support And Assistance.
Why We Continue To Plan For 2021 & 2022 And Continue To Build Our Live International Rock ‘n Blues Music Festival And Associated Events In Mexico So We Can Increase Our Support For Local Causes and Benefit Local Businesses And Their Employees.
Our Current Total Of Contributions To The Community From January 1998 To Today After Funding All Costs Of Staging The Festival Through Cash Flow Is 170,390 pesos.
An Additional Donation of 5, 000 pesos Was Made In Early April To The Claudio Bigotes Memorial Animal Rescue Shelter In Toluca/Mexico City For Special Veterinary Treatment Needed.
From Funds Raised During The 2020 January To March Events As Reported In Our March 2020 Report To The Community, (See Below) We Contributed 12,200 pesos to Amigos de Animales of Barra Potosi, $10,730 pesos to the Claudio Bigotes Memorial Animal Rescue Shelter, and 3,000 pesos to Vicente Contreras, our 14-year-old guitar prodigy, for continued training in guitar from our Realizing Potentials Fund. There is a further pledge to Vicente of another 3,000 pesos following the successful completion of phase 1 of his new training.
And then Covid-19 struck. Many performer friends of our Festival, suddenly were unable to perform live in public for payment or tips. We made an “executive decision” in late April to reallocate 9, 000 pesos from our Realizing Potentials Fund to help, in a small, but meaningful way still we felt, and provide support three Mexican rock ‘n blues groups who have always given our Cause Fests their time and performance without demands for payment.
Now we are looking forward to January 2021 and 2022. In addition to continuing to support our 2020 Street Animal Rescue organizations and the Realizing Potentials Fund, we also wish to support Local Businesses and their Employees who were devastated by Covid 19 and help kickstart Mexico Tourism Recovery.
You will see some interesting announcements soon on our new plans to support both Local Business and their Employees and Mexico Tourism Recovery overall while continuing support for our ongoing Causes.

We’re Getting Ready For The Big Crowd Coming For The First Night Of Tequila Blues Explosion Festival January 10 in Ixtapa.  Tequila Blues Explosion Fest International is a community event for the children of Talita Cumi orphanage near Zihuatanejo. January 10, opening night, it’s the awesome Blues Brothers Full Show and preview performances from all our Performers. Then full concerts January 11 & 12 with different music each night. Afternoons at Villas Paraiso for pre Fest Concert: Pool Parties, Fun, Jam and other Live Music, and then evening Concerts at the Ixtapa Event Centre.
The Tequila Blues Explosion Festival International II Comes To Ixtapa-Zihuatanejo January 10-13, 2019. A great lineup of International Performers presenting blues, blues-rock, jazz and reggae. Including two local groups from Ixtapa-Zihuatanejo. Supporting a great cause, the children of the Talita Cumi orphanage near Zihuatanejo.
See you at Villas Paraiso Ixtapa in the afternoons for Pool Parties, Meet and Greets and Live Music. Then it’s over to the Ixtapa Event Centre in Plaza IxPamar, behind Frank’s Restaurant, just 5 minutes away, for our Evening Concerts. Opening Night will be very special with one of the best in the world, Blues Brothers music and comedy show at 8:30 pm, with All Festival Performer Preview Appearances starting at 5:30 pm.
Friday night is our Tribute To The Legends of Blues and Rock Concert (tributes to The Doors, The Rolling Stones, The Beatles, B.B. King, Robert Johnson, Muddy Waters, Aretha Franklin and many more)Â with our fun Canada/USA vs. Mexico harmonica blowout competition and a big Closing Collaboration.
Saturday night’s Closing Concert is full of collaborations, a Mexico vs Canada drum-off competition, and all Performers bringing the Best of their Best music. A great closing night is in store for all of us.  Sunday afternoon is our Blues Kruise 4Kids Blues At Sea fundraising cruise on the Picante Catamaran with Festival Performers and all-inclusive food and beverages.
