Today we are pleased to announce to all our Tequila Blues Explosion Festival International fans, the following additional details about the Festival Event on January 5 & 6, 2018 in Ixtapa and Zihuatanejo, Mexico.
Friday, January 5
Festival Kickoff: Pool Party at Villas Paraiso in Ixtapa. Villas Paraiso is a Festival partner and will also have special rates for Tequila Blues visitors. Begins at 3:00 pm Hosted by Los Mind Lagunas of Mexico City, with special guest appearances by Festival Headliners. Bring your bikinis, bring your sunscreen. Festival Preview in Zihuatanejo…A Tribute Night to the Legends of Blues and Blues Rock. 7:00 pm at Legendz Bar & Grill, a Festival partner. With many special guests, to be announced, and a special appearance by guitar wizard David Gogo, one of our Festival Headliners and others (And a neighbor of Cate Armstrong, Legendz owner, in Nanaimo, BC, growing up. Eco Tianguis Zihuatanejo. Centro. 10:00 am to approximately 11:30 am. A great open-air venue supporting the environment and sustainable products. A Tequila Blues partner. Workshops for new and experienced musicians, particularly youth and new groups. We have invited all the performers from Canada and Mexico to come out and support the development of great music in Ixtapa-Zihuatanejo and teach and give short demonstrations. Perhaps a little jamming and singing Most blues and blues-rock instruments will be supported in smaller groups. AfterParty at Villas Paraiso Patio area by the Pool. 11:30 pm to ? Entrance only with special AfterParty tickets. Jamming will most likely continue to take place. The stage will be ready.
