Musical Education For Kids And Support For Schools of Rock And Blues Is One Of The Causes The Paraiso Society And Our Big Hearted Performers Want To Support From Our Tequila Rock ‘n Blues Explosions Events. We Know We Need To Focus.
Kids Are Important To Us. Childhood Hunger Projects In Schools or Food Bank(s) Is Something We Want To Help Support With Grants From Funds We Raise. Same For Medical Treatment and Neutering Projects for Street Animal Rescue work. Capital costs of expansion of Shelters as well in the future. When we come together again in 2023, you and your support of our fundraisings such as 50-50 raffles and our own donations from profits we hopefully receive from the events will help us make grants to good projects in all these areas.
Plus we try to include up and coming youth or at least youthful performers, with rock and blues skills, from the local or regional area in our events if we can. Like we did with Vicente Contreras, pictured above, in 2020.
All that preamble brings me to a great recent article we read yesterday where Robert Plant, lead singer of Led Zepplin comments on why they allowed the 2003 movie “School of Rock” to use their song Immigrant Song, in the movie after they received a heartfelt video plea from Jack Black himself. They had a history of basically not allowing their music to be used anywhere.
Robert Plant is quoted in this article saying “To Give It To The Kids Is So Important” We couldn’t agree more. Much more good stuff from Robert in the article. We loved the Movie, seen it many times, know the whole world did too. And the Led Zeppelin song was used so well. Check it out.
We need more Led Zeppelin music at our Events. Did we say that The Steely Band of Morelia, Mexico have an excellent selection of Led Zeppelin music they can include in their The Best Of Classic Rock Homage in their shows on January 20 (Ixtapa) & 21 (Zihuatanejo) this year. Of course, we could say the same for their Queen Music, The Doors Music, and on and on. They will provide all that to us.

Covid Hit Our Fests & Concerts For The Cause Momentum Hard, And Honestly Friends We’re Just Learning To Walk Again. Rebuilding Our Fan Base Is Most Important. Starting Over For 2023. Very Pleased With The Shows and Music We Will Be Presenting, Howerver.
We’re announcing our 2023 lineup and schedule, version 2.0 on Tuesday, November 8. Our official launch day. So we think it’s fitting we take a short look back today to who and what we were and what we wanted to be when we grew up (our vision) when it all began.
It All Started on January 6-8, 2018 In Ixtapa, Mexico With Our One Day Blues & Rock Night. See The Short Highlights Video That Was Assembled Then Below. David Gogo was here then. Why we wanted him back and why it’s fitting he is coming back for The Big Reboot 2023
Going Back For The Future
Then we followed with three other “One Amazing Night” Shows. Chicago-born bluesman Chris Sanchez and his blues-rock band came back to Ixtapa-Zihua. They were with us at the early January show. Fitting that they’re coming back too for 2023 with their special 3 Kings Tribute Show(B.B., Freddie, Albert) The thrill of having them with us is not gone, we say with smiles.
We also had a great night of music in tribute to AC-DC, Led Zeppelin, and Janis Joplin by the Tangerine Band of Mexico with Enrique and Lorena of Mexico City, leading all the tributes, and they have returned many times since, . Then we concluded the winter 2018 season with the event that everyone told us was “Beyond One Amazing Night” A special tribute to The Doors by The Crystal Ship Band of Mexico City. Everyone was very disappointed when the closing notes of L.A. Woman on the encore, signaled the end of the evening.
Enjoy The Fan Videos and Some Photos Of 2018. (Some photos wordmarked as they should be, to Abigail Lovett, our hard-working photographer that year)

It’s not quite Searching for Sugarman, but we’re serious about finding that one great band, or performers, maybe more than one, ready to be a big fan favorite at our Go Mexico rock and blues events-always for fun in the sun, always for a great cause or causes, in the winter 2022-2023. Who wants Mexico at the beach in the warmth in January? February? March?
It’s May 1. We’re feeling good. So is “Summer” or “Maggie May” (let’s let Rod Stewart and Ron Wood perform their ode to Maggie of May in the comments below). We’re not sure of our beautiful Latina model’s real name. I like “Summer”. Here she is standing at what looks like the Zihuatanejo Bay in Mexico telling us to go enjoy summer and all it has to offer because Winter Festing in Mexico comes soon after. And to tell you as well, that we’re pitching some clubs in Alberta and soon in Manitoba and elsewhere about a new campaign of ours for our summer travels. A night of great music in “Battle” format to discover at least one great act. The Battle To Go Mexico on January 26-29, 2023 in Ixtapa-Zihuatanejo, or another one of our event dates in places like Mexico City or Mazatlan. And as we always do, try to raise as much as we can for a very timely and worthy cause…perhaps something like “Peace…One Love…A Night For Ukrainian Refugees Resettling In Canada and the local community. We’ll keep you informed friends. Just wanted to tell you what we’re working on. Have a great May and summer months!

Great Plans For Street Animal Fundraising By Volunteer Organizers Get Derailed By Heartless Venue Operator: The Live Music Opportunity For Puerto Vallarta February 3-6, 2022: News Release
The Street Animal Rescue Mexico Fundraising Rock ‘n Blues Fest Needs Its Own Last Minute Rescue.
Are You Actively Presenting Live Rock ‘n Blues Music Now? Do You Mind If Your Guests Start Dancing When The Music Gets Rockin’ We Think We Have A Great Music & Event Opportunity For You?
Interested? Let’s Talk And Firm This Up Before The New Year: I’m Bob Rempel, Volunteer Director Of Tequila Rock ‘n Blues Explosion Events & Fests. Permanent Resident Status Mexico. From Winnipeg, Canada. Whatsapp or Phone: +52 755 101 5989. Website. Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/tequilabluesfests and https://www.facebook.com/bobrempel1 (my personal facebook)
Hola!
It’s last-minute we know but still enough time to make this great. If you have a stage and sound and backline equipment (drums, amplifiers, monitors…often your favorite band can supply that and perform with us as well), we have an opportunity for your bar or restaurant for music at no cost to you for the weekend of February 3-6, 2022.
Alternatively, we are looking at the option of performing at open-air venues for the largest possible audience.
Background: We publicly announced a venue in July for our first Puerto Vallarta Event. That verbal agreement seems to have fallen through. Lessons learned and we’ll be smarter next time.
But that creates an opportunity for a new partner for our Tequila Rock ‘n Blues Explosions events.
We have planned our first fundraising rock ‘n blues live music event for Puerto Vallarta for February 3-6, 2022.
We have a great lineup of performers ready to come in and support the fundraising for Street Animal Rescue Mexico, our cause for the 2021-22 winter season. We bring in the “Big Hearts” we call them.
Seventy-five percent of the fundraising from the Events we do in Puerto Vallarta will go to the local organizations like SPCA Puerta Vallarta and others that apply for funding. Primarily for neutering and medical treatment campaigns to existing organizations or veterinarians. The rest of the funds go to projects in other parts of Mexico. We are in the process of making contact with all of them now to create partnerships to work together on this fundraising weekend in P.V.
It starts with a special opening night concert by our headliner Chris Duarte. On Thursday February 3. A legend in blues-rock. Clearly one of the best guitarists in the world. And he “plays his ass off for the fans” as one fan said in a quote. From Austin, Texas. Often compared to Stevie Ray Vaughan. 14 albums. Tours extensively. Humble and a great guy. Perfect for our fest. And then Chris, and his partner Beth Lee, who is coming to Puerto Vallarta as well, will perform throughout our Fest, Electric country rock and soulful country from Beth.
Opening night, Thursday, February 3, Gil Gaidola, lead vocalist and lead guitarist of Mystic Highway, one of Canada’s top Creedence-John Fogerty Tribute Bands, who loves Mexico, who loves animals is ready to perform in Puerto Vallarta or region, as well. At your bar or restaurant. And then throughout the Friday through Sunday Fest as well.
We have Mexican performers as well. We always try to have a good blend. Viri Roots from Mexico City one of Mexico’s best blues voices will be a key part of our Bob Marley Tribute, and Fonzeca CPP Projecta four-piece group from Monterrey, Mexico led by Fonzeca Alexander, who has been named one of Mexico’s top male blues voices every year the past 10 years.
In addition to the Bob Marley Tribute, Chris Duarte will help lead our Jimi Hendrix Tribute and Gil Gaidola will lead our Creedence-John Fogerty Tribute. Music that is familiar to the fans and your guests. But each will do their own originals and cover songs throughout the Fest as well so fans will get the best of both worlds.
Plus we wish to feature at least one, possibly two to three local groups and performers. This way your very good and favorite local performer or band can be part of the Fest too. And we will bring in one or two more Mexican or USA performers and announce them by mid-January once we have a Venue firmly in place and we know how the lineup looks.
Please don’t think you have to accept our plan and approach 100% without a chance to talk and us to listen. We are looking to create long-term venue partners in Puerto Vallarta and every other community we go to.
You Supply The Venue And Stage And Are Identified As Our Fundraising Venue Partner In All Communication.
You Supply The Backline (Drums, Lead Guitar Amp, Bass Guitar Amp, Possibly Rhythm Amp), Monitors, Microphones)…The Stage Is Basically Plug and Play For Outside Musicians. As We Said Earlier Often This Can Be Supplied

You Support The Event Through Promotion And Advertising Through Your Existing Channels And More If Possible.
You Retain All Food And Drinks Revenue, However, We Ask That You Open Your Big Heart Too And Consider A Donation To The Fundraising Based On The Revenues Generated By The Weekend.
We Supply The Musicians, Pay For Their Travel, And Accommodation, And Other Local Expenses. Organize The Performance Lineup And Advertise The Event Online. Your Help In Finding Good Value Accommodation And Meals And Other Perks For Musicians To Make Them Want To Return To Our Events And Your Venue In The Future Is Greatly Appreciated.
