What’s New or Refreshed in 2026

1. Each Event More Unique By Creating Feature Sets For Various Fest Performers. For example Evelyn Rubio with Las Ramblas will perform a Concert style extended set on Saturday evening January 24. Brody Buster, Mr. One-Man Band, will perform his extended set on Sunday late afternoon January 25. Our AC-DC Tribute Band…Dirty Deeds and Freaks from Mexico City will be featured on Saturday afternoon along with YEMGirlsRock with their Tribute to Female Rock Icons of the 70’s n 80’s like Janis Joplin, Grace Slick, Joan Jett, Pat Benetar, Anne and Nancy Wilson of Heart and many more. YEM also featured Saturday Night Date Night. The Music of the 80’s For A Big Saturday Night of Fun. Supernatural, the Santana music homage, led by Trebor Villa of Morelia, with Reiner Piehl of Canada on keyboards and saxophone sitting in, plus much more great classic rock and blues, will be featured on Friday January 23.
2. Tequila Mountain…well on our way to building a mountain through the generosity of an anonymous donor. Top shelf brands for fundraising draws and sampling. 10 to form the base for our pyramid of Tequila and Mezcal. For the Causes. Ok, a little for the fun too. Mexico’s magical elixir that helps fix almost anything that ails you. (Smiles, we exaggerate of course) And did you know you can bring an unopened bottle of repsado or anejo tequila or mezcal to our January 24 & 25 events to help us support the causes and have a few more tequila Saludes, and get great benefits as our thank you to you.
3. Win Fiesta Funds Our Own Currency For Our Merch and Tickets. More Prize Games Such As Name That Riff And High Card Wins. More Fun At Events Is Our Goal. Why Not? YOLO! You told us to up our Photo and Videos Game and we plan to do that. Think more Performers & Fans Together Unique Memory Photos. Think Photo Booth. Think More Video Clips.
4. Merchandise that you can make a statement with all year long . Wear the shirt or wrap your drink in our koozie and say you too are Standing Up For Unity, like we as Festival organizers are. The gorgeous shirts in full HD are 275 pesos at the Fest, 250 pesos in advance. The Souvenir Statement Koozies are 150 pesos. All net profits from Merch sales go to the Community Fund. 5. 2027…We’re already talking to bands and performers about 2027. For example, great friends of our Fest, The Soul Brothers who have an amazing Blues Brothers Tribute show, were unable to make our Fest at the last minute due to their main employers revising their work schedule back in Germany unexpectdly. But their parting words in email wre “See You in 2027” So a great start for 2027. Others ready to come and we’ll lock that down later in 2026. But you know the quality we look for and our standards. So to get all you who attend our events in 2027 more excited about returning in 2027, we’re going to offer you, only you in the house so to speak, 2027 tickets at 40 per cent discount. That 250 pesos each. Maximum 10 per person.
6. The Causes. Our Fundraising money through draws and donations at the events goes directly into our Team Tequila Social Club Community Fund. Not comingled with Fest revenues and expenses. We continue to support Street Animal Rescue with a focus on Neutering and Medical Treatment for street animals and puppies and kittens. We will talk more about our neutering support program at the events with our Fans and how it works. To encourage neutering of dogs and cats from the street and when young we are providing up to 500 pesos per animal as reimbursement for the cost of vetrinarian neutering for animals. We continue to be open to supporting Youth Music Education and related equipment needs for local youth in the Ixtapa-Zihuatanejo for talent but disadvantaged youth. Our fund welcomes all informal applications or suggestions on how or whom we can support. For 2026 we have added support for the Local Zihuatanejo General Hospital…the people’s hospital and particular the “Herbidas” Nursing Station at the hospital. A first person story by one of our Team Tequila Social Club members brought us to this cause. Their help to this person was way over the top, so good, we wanted to benefit all the other users of this nursing station. Which is many! A continuous flow in and out every day for treatments. We want to donate a big box of the supplies they need for treating their patients to them after the Fest. We’ll talk more about this project at the events.

Not Quite There Yet….Hopefully 2027…Rock me on the water-live music and fishing for performers and fans out a sea on a Sunday morning coming down, comedy performers, and comedy karaoke by fans. More country rock and southern rock, more great tributes, more original artists who know how to rock a crowd. A great music mix of the music of our lives. Music we loved and lived with through the years.
